AGE ELIGIBILITY – You must be at least 18 years of age to enter this competition.

DIVISIONS – You may choose only one division, Amateur or Professional, for all your entries.

CATEGORIES – You may enter photos in as many categories as you’d like; however each photo may only be entered into one category. At the Coordinator’s discretion, your photo may be moved to a different category as deemed appropriate.

ENTRY LIMITS – There is a maximum of (3) photographs per person.

ENTERING A SERIES – If you want to enter 3 photos that are part of a series and should be seen together, please make this clear in either the title or description of each photo.

ENTRY FEES – Entry fees are non-negotiable and must be paid by credit or debit card upon entering the competition. Photos will be removed from consideration if payment is not received for any reason. All entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.

ENTERING BY PROXY – If you enter a photograph for someone else, you agree to accept any and all risks, damages, and costs associated with entering this competition and exhibit. You also acknowledge that permission has been given to you, prior to entering, by the photographer/copyright holder, to enter the photograph on his/her behalf.

MODELS – Photographers must have obtained permission from any people that are identifiable in any photos entered.

JUDGING – Judges’ decisions are final. Amateur and Professional entries will be judged separately, by category.

NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS – The Photography Coordinator will notify winners in writing via email and will at that time request a high-resolution digital image for printing purposes for the exhibit. Phone calls regarding judging results will not be accepted.

CASH AWARDS – First place winners’ checks will be mailed to the address included on winners’ entry forms. If you wish the check to be mailed to a different address, you must notify the Photography Coordinator in writing.

EXHIBIT – Exhibition of your work is at the sole discretion of the L.A. County Fair.

PHOTO SALES – Photos will NOT be made available for sale at the L.A. County Fair. Photographers may make arrangements to sell photos independently. Photos may not be removed from the Fair for the duration of the exhibit.

USE OF IMAGES AND TEXT – By entering this competition, you agree to allow the L.A. County Fair to reproduce your photograph(s) in any form for educational or promotional purposes in association with this competition and exhibit. Any images that are reproduced will carry the photographer’s credit line. Text provided in captions and artist statements may be edited for errors and formatting.
